In the days before television advertising, artwork was used to sell products. The artwork on bicycle catalogs
was some of the best of it's day. On this page I have included Catalogs from both "Columbia" and other bicycle
companys that would make up the "American Bicycle Company". Many of the "ABC" names would continue to
be used by Pope and Westfield Mfg. for many years. The covers also help tell the history of bicycling in America.
Catalog covers from 1879 to 1899.
1900 to 1909. After the breakup of the "American Bicycle Company" Pope ended up owning many
of the company's involved in that trust. Catalogs continued to be put out with those brands for several years.
